Dealing with equipment overheating issues and ergonomics.............One of four composed staged works of increasing complexity: DIVA I 2008 - can she order sushi?: making the system mobile; DIVA II 2009 - manga girl: what does a body know?; DIVA III 2010 /2011 - grounded: what does a body know?; DIVA IV 2012- Final performance .............Digital Ventriloquized Actors ( DIVA )  was a new form of audio/visual speech production based on voice analysis of a three-dimensional vocal tract model.   Inclusive of hand gestures synthesize audiovisual speech and song the project  made use of a right-hand glove to produce vowel sounds (working with an xyz axis) and  a left-hand glove to produce vowel sounds via a mini key board imbedded in the glove.This Interdisciplinary Research included:The Visual Voice Project;UBC’s Media and Graphics Interdisciplinary Centre (MAGIC);Sound & Electroacoustic Technology Group (MuSET) UBC.
